On Mondays, you can take in the Art Museum for FREE! Other days, you can walk the grounds and gardens for FREE! And, you can always tour the Ca' d'Zan home and the Circus Museums if you buy tickets. The only other thing we've seen in Florida that compares is Vizcaya in the Miami area. This is great, but for different reasons. Here, you can get that art museum!

St. Augustine, FL There's so much to say about downtown St. Augustine and even more to see...
There are dozens of great sites to take a peek at, and they've really built the city for tourism. Trolleys and buses are all over the place, and parking wasn't that hard to find, either. For $2.50 an hour, you can definitely see some stuff without breaking the bank. We visited the waterfront by the Bridge of Lions, then went through the park, hit Flagler College, and also visited the Lightner Museum. There are dozens of small shops and restaurants, and you can't forget the Castillo de San Marcos, either! This is a great place to take your time and spend 2-3 days looking around! 78 E Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 Tired of all that sun and beach and just need a few minutes to decompress? When you're in the Daytona and Ormond Beach area, this is a great little stop-off to just catch your breath for a few minutes. Whether you spend 15 or 50 minutes here, there's something to see for you and for your kids.
It's free parking, free entry, and fresh air! Check it out for sure. A suggested $2 donation for the museum part won't break the bank, either! |
