36850 Overseas Hwy, Big Pine Key, FL 33043 Ready for some ultra-clear water? Like snorkeling, camping, kayaking, paddle-boarding, or just about anything to do with salt water? Then it's time to hit Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys!
Not far from Marathon, Florida, or about midway down the Keys, you can find Bahia Honda State Park. It has a few beaches, campgrounds, a ruined bridge you can walk up on one approach, and general facilities to make your day or weekend great! The beach is narrow and the water is shallow, but it is incredibly clear! You can see fish and head out to the line of sea grass, where you can snorkel and look for sea life! At only $8 per vehicle, if you're in the Florida Keys and want a beach, this might be for you! 505 Barefoot Beach Blvd, Bonita Springs, FL 34134This is easily one of the best beaches in SWFL. It has sandy white beaches, clear water, and a fair amount of shells.
Get here early or come on an off day, because all the parking areas can be full! At $8 for parking, it does seem to be a little more exclusive than the cheaper access beaches just up the road, but it still manages to fill up on weekends and holidays. It almost feels like a bit of a secret, as it's off a 3-5 minute slow drive past a really nice row of mansions. Different times we've been here, we've found sand dollars, hermit crabs, dolphins, pelicans, sandpipers, and a bunch of shells! 215 Seminole Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176Looking for a great beach on the Atlantic side of Florida? Ormond Beach is a great one! It's not as busy as some of those nearby, which is great when you don't want to go shoulder-to-shoulder with swimmers. But, it still has all of the charm of an Atlantic beach.
Sometimes the winds and waves get strong enough to try surfing or boarding. You can drive a car down the length of the beach if you get a sticker, too. This is definitely a beach worth checking out! 8700 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931Ready to check out one of Southwest Florida's best beaches! Here is Lovers Key State Park!
So much to do here, and you can do it all for only $8 a day for parking. Kayak and bike rentals will cost you, if you don't bring your own.
